Welcome and Information
All entrances to the church are open and attended by volunteers on Sunday mornings.
The coffee hour, in the lower hall (dining hall) after worship, is a place to find a friendly face and someone to answer the questions you may have about St. Paul’s.
The church office is open 5 days a week (Monday through Friday) from 9 am to 1 p.m. by appointment in the afternoon.
Bulletin boards throughout the church offer information about our community, our church and the many varied activities and programs that take place at St Paul’s.
Young Christian Community (Y.C.C. ) (Sunday School)
We have preschool (toilet trained) to grade 8.
All are welcome whether visitors or members.
Children are invited to attend the sanctuary service and then leave at an appointed time for the church school. Children do not have to leave, but we encourage them to join us whether visitors or members of our worship community they will enjoy them selves. No one ever has to worry about were to go; the leaders are very organized and make sure that all that gather find their way. We follow the rotation setting for our youth. The same Bible story or theme is taught for several weeks. Each week, learners rotate to a different station. The story remains the same, but children encounter it in different ways. Repetition is an important part of remembering. The more different ways a child can explore the story or concept, the more it is reinforced in their memories. This also helps keep interest high throughout the unit. The same lesson is taught, with age-level adjustments, for the length of the rotation. Rotational learning is active learning, cooking, drama, crafts are a few of the ways we share the story.
An infant nursery is provided for babies up to the age of 2 and is run by church volunteers. Parents have the option of bringing their children out of he service at anytime they wish for playtime, changing or feeding. Babies are always welcome to stay with their caregivers in the service. Currently, the staffed nursery is offered for the 10:30 a.m. service, starting at 10:15 a.m.
We rotate through theme workshops after the children’s story. These workshops involve drama, art, cooking, and discussion (many varied approaches) that certainly capture the interest of the young people.
Youth in Grades 9-12 may also leave at this time for the young adult group. They meet in our C.P.W.A. room. This is our youth room and it is comfortably set up with couches and tables (a relaxed and easy going atmosphere).

Finances
St. Paul 's United Church is supported totally by our members.
Our parent church, The United Church of Canada, does not support us financially. In fact, the opposite is true - St. Paul's contributes to the financial support of The United Church of Canada. The United Church of Canada and St. Paul 's United Church are registered charitable organizations. Receipts are issued for all charitable contributions.
We ask that you to carefully consider your financial support for St. Paul's. Supporting your church must be one of your family's budget considerations and of equal importance with other discretionary spending you consider, like hockey registrations, music lessons.
Every family is different - different resources, and different needs. St. Paul 's does not ask you for a specific amount of investment. Every fall, the Stewardship Committee canvasses the current members of the church requesting that families seriously consider what their contribution for the following fiscal year can be.
How will you make your contributions?
- PAR - Pre-Authorized Remittance is preferred as it saves us valuable accounting time.
- Post-dated Cheque's
- Offering Envelopes
