Memorial - Isa Donnelly

Isabella "Isa" Donnelly

St. Paul's friends,

Our thoughts and prayers are with Sheelagh and Doug Wood, and their extended family, following the death of Sheelagh's mother, Isabella "Isa" Donnelly. Isa was in her 100th year, having been born in Coatbridge, Scotland Aug. 3, 1920.

May our prayers embrace Sheelagh's sister Maureen Donnelly and her husband Allister Young, and Isa's grandchildren: (and partners) Gillian (Mike), Colin (Lilly), Alexandra (Andrew) and Graeme; along with Isa's great-grandchildren: Emmett, Kieran, Jose Luis, and Lucas.

Isa came to Canada in March 1951, having married Edward Wood in Dec. 1945.  Edward had endured three-and-a-half years in a Japanese prisoner of war camp.  He had served as a sapper in the Royal Engineers.  Isa worked for many years in the purchasing department of City Hall.

May we commend Isa to the eternal embrace of God -- and into the resurrection life we know is God's gracious gift to us in death.  May God's Spirit be a source of comfort and peace.

Grace and peace,
Rev. Jim & Rev. Allison
