What's Happening

The Valley Town Breakfast is taking a Summer Break.

We will resume service again on Saturday, September 26th.

St. Paul's Affirming Action Statement 


We believe that all people are created in the image of God and we are unconditionally loved by God. We are, therefore, committed in our life together to be fully affirming of people of all ages, gender, race, creed, gender identity, gender expressions, sexual orientations, differing abilities and challenges, marital or family status, genetic characteristics, national or ethnic backgrounds, economic circumstances, or any part of their life story

or identity that has led to a person being marginalized by their community. Through public, intentional, and explicit commitment to justice and affirmation, such as continued education, workshops, guest speakers, information sharing, the continued use of inclusive language in the life and work of St. Paul's and in the wider community. We pray for God's spirit to guide us to do justice, love kindness, and to walk humbly with God as we live out these commitments in church and in society.


Please join us on October 4, 2026 as we celebrate our official affirming status.

Enacting Our Land Acknowledgement


The Land Acknowledgment clarifies the commitment of the United Church of Canada, and particularly

St. Paul's United Church, Dundas to work with First Nations, Metis and Inuit peoples. The UCC was the first church, in 1986, to acknowledge the destructive impact that church missionary work had on Indigenous cultures, and in 1988 acknowledged specifically their role in operating residential schools.


The Report of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada was published in 2015 and offered 94 Calls to Action.


Unless this is followed with actions, it has little meaning. The UCC has a number of programs to which you may contribute:

About Us

St. Paul’s United Church believes strongly in helping create a more compassionate community - both within and beyond our congregation. To this end, the Outreach Committee promotes awareness of societal needs and concerns, and encourages the congregation and others to respond to these concerns.


What do we do?

The work of this committee takes many forms including education, fundraising, direct action and advocacy. 


In addition to our programs Café 55+, SPROG, Community Dinners and Courageous Conversations we also support:

• Canada Foodgrains Bank                                           • Wesley Urban Ministries

• Routes Youth Centre                                                   • Affordable Housing & Homelessness

• Poverty                                                                             • Environment and Climate Change

• United Church of Canada Mission & Service

• Ellen Osler House


Our advocacy efforts have recently focused on affordable housing and homelessness. This focus also includes poverty, especially supporting the United Church of Canada’s Call for a Guaranteed Livable Income. Over the coming year we will also be embarking on environmental and climate change education, advocacy and action.


Join us!  

We have a great need for passionate volunteers to help with all of our many causes and activities. Whether you can join us for a couple of hours on one project, or want to be more involved, we would love to hear from you! We are also always open to suggestions and ideas for actions we can take.
